Read-Only Access Problems

Hi Guy's,

Lately I have been trying to access a file on my network drive. The prblem is when i try to open it a message box appears saying

"Cannot access read-only document 'Central code lists.xls'"

and when you press ok another box appears saying

"Cannot access 'Central code list.xls"

and the file does not open.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening ?

Even when i reinstal the file it does this

i am clicking on the file name through explorer

Sounds like a permissions issue.

1. Have you opened this file before with no problem?

2. Has your neywork been changed recently?

3. Why is it read-only, and have you tried changed the attribute from read-only, and opening it?
