I'd like to create an application (C# console app, vbs, suggestions?) that is launched through Windows Scheduler which simply looks for an existing instance of Internet Explorer and if found, reads the URL entered in the address bar. It will run on a single machine. Any suggestions on how to approach this? Type of app, objects to use, etc?

Hmmm,

I don't think that's easy (I could be wrong!) but I wonder if your approach is the best way to accomplish what you are trying to do.

What is the idea of getting the URL from explorer? Can you not create a port 80 sniffer that just parses web requests as they go out?

Basically, I just want a way to know what URL is being accessed at a given time and am looking for way's to determine that. Could you elaborate? How do I create a port 80 sniffer?
