If you have VOIP trunks enabled on the BCM and have extensions that are present in a remote system, can these extensions be reached when dialing into the voicemail? When these extensions are called, the voicemail responds with the message "invalid extension". Yet, when the extension numbers are dialed on the intercom link internally, through routing the call is put out over the voip trunk to the remote location. Any ideas and help is greatly appreciated.

If you use the CDP (coordinated dialing plan) then the voice mail will accept those extensions. I think you need to have the MCDN keycode to use CDP though.

Make sure the voicemail ports (active application DNs) have access to the IP trunks.

I changed to the CDP format and the voicemail now transfers to the off prem extensions fine. This is without the MCDN Keycode. Caller ID is presented from the BCM. My thoughts on MCDN keycode is that it will pass source CLID from the the BCM onto another BCM or Succession switch showing the outside calling party on the far end rather than the extension. It would be nice to have some clarification on just what some of these keycodes provide. A listing would be great of the more complex ones although the simple ones are self-explanatory.
