Re-setting Star talk mini voice mail ? 2

How do I re-set Star Talk Mini in M8X24 DS system, after I reset system to default I now get a (inactive feature) when I
feat 983........Any ideas ?

Also can't get my external paging to function on yellow/slate pair.......it worked fine on the older system (Comdial) I can page all sets but not the house speakers..........Any key installers left out there that can offer assistance ? I have had 2 replies on these issue's, neither were able to help ! Thanks

What do you mean by “re-set?” If you mean you did a re-install, try feat903. As for the paging, I don’t know why you would think Comdial and Nortel have anything to do with each other, but there is a wiring chart for the 8x24 in the FAQ’s… faq799-1780

It can take the mini up to 5 minutes before it becomes active.

How do I initialize a mailbox on a callpilot 150 ?
thanks for the tip on the mini, it did take 5 mintues to activate, but it ain't y2k capable !

read the user guide that came along with the callpilot
that gives STEP by STEP instructions

the CD should autoplay if not contact system administrator

you didn't ask whether the mini was any good or not!! Actually it doesn't matter whether y2k or not because it doesn't use the year in the time stamp.

telemarv, I was told prior to purchasing the mini that it was in fact good, not much but that is all I have to go on ! I too am wondering if the unit is any good ! The mini did the same thing prior to my erasing/resetting the unit ! Thanks for your response, I appreciate your help, it seems some vendors have a way of attemping to belittle technical users thru their wording in these forums. Anyway haven't gotten that from you!

CSK5000 I try to evaluate each question while trying to get a sense of the author's technical ability as I'm sure other vendors here do to. Sometimes my (our) response is to hire a vendor... sometimes not. Often times it comes down to how a question is asked.

Re: the mini: If its using its original drive, its now more than 5 years beyond it intended life expectancy. no longer supported by Nortel and will sooner or later fail. Probably sooner than later!! Good luck with it.
