heloo..i just want to ask on how to re route numbers in hicom 300 or swap,,..im just new here..92*** had number problem,,(93*** is ok and no subscriber)..and i want to swap its location in the MDF without changing the number

Assuming you have some basic tools it's fairly easy even if you know nothing about the system.

You need a Punch Down Tool with both a 66 blade and 110 blade, and you need a tone/test set - I recommend Progressive Electroncs for that, they make some pretty good tone/test kits.

Plug the tone generator into one of the jacks in place of the phone, and then go to the MDF and use the wand to figure out where it is connected. Make a note of that - they are usually numbered.

Now repeat the process with the second phone.

When you find the connection locations of both phones just swap the pair of wires from each phone to where the other one was connected.

I might be oversimplifying this, but all I could understand from your post was "I want to swap the location in the MDF without changing the number".

Good luck :eek:)

i mean sir the command in comwin to swap the tel phone number..92343 has number problem(w/ subscriber) and 93745 is ok (no subscriber)...does it mean am going to swap its location in the card? our subscriber said she doesnt want to change her number...

Are these Optiset phones, Optipoint phones or Openstage phones?

You still shouldn't need to mess with the system. If they are IP phones (have computer cable) you can just swp them, and if not just switch the 2 wire pairs around at the MDF.

There is a process called Set and Relocate that you can use if you absolutely want to mess around in the system. I have never used it, and I'm a bit buried at work to look it up in the manual for you, so you will need to wait for sbcsu to see this and respond.

There are a few ways to move phones, (SXSU/SBCSU) some of them recommended and others not so recommended.

The best way is as follows:

Don't tell everyone....

ADD-PERSI:SI,99;
ADD-WABE:**99,,,SIGNON,N;
ADD-WABE:**98,,,SIGNOFF,N;

Say the extension number of the phone you want to move is extension 2345...

Go to ANY phone
Dial **98992345 (SIGNOFF & SI)
(Extension 2345 will be 'signed off')
Go to the LOCATION where you want 2345 to be located.
Sign OFF the phone there as above (**9899xxxx)
You should see 'autoset relocate' on the phone screen...

Then signon the phone number to that device:
**99992345
Then the phone will have the extension number 2345

Do not tell your maintenance department as you will be out of a job....
Let me know how you get on or if you have problems with this.
Regards

thanks for your help..is it ok to use this command..i seen it in google..do i need to deactivate first, those two numbers and delete.
CHA-SXSU:STNO=number,TYPE=PEN,PEN=ltg-ltu-slot-cct;

It is not advisable to use the AMO SXSU.
It does not move everything like names etc.
It can corrupt the database.

Just sign off the phone either through the keypad or at ComWin (CHA-DSSU:SIGNOFF)
Then sign on the number at a signed off extension port.

To move everything any other way is either to physically move the jumper cable
or to REG everything that is associated with the extensions, delete them and re-add them to the new ports.

ok thanks for your help..could you check it sir if its correct..
