Dear Experts,
I have Hipath 4K v1, when I checked the log of the installation in the Hipath assistant (webpage at the address 192.1.2.5).
I found the messege "Activation of First installation was Failed".
Also I found two packages missing alarms (

Also I notice that,
- The CC-A keep in "Active state" for half an hour after that restarts for 2 minutes and return to "Active state" , this operation keeps in progress each half an hour. (when the CC-A restart, all of the system stop working)
- There is no "Standby state" in CC-B.

So I hope by re-installing the Unixware, the problems will disappear.

I don't know which V24 port I have to connect with , and what is the cable needed, Baud-rate&Stop-bits&parity , also I don't know the steps of re-installing.

I hope your help please.

Dear sbcsu,
Do you mean that I have to connect the HD to PC and use PCHI to get the files, after that format the HD and use the PCHI to restore the files on it?

The HD with SCSI connection, I have connection from SCSI to IDE, Can I use PCHI with IDE hard?

The RMX and UW7 copy in HD (Partition K) is not clear (two packages corrupted), how can I ask for new one?

Hi,
Normally I use a SCSI card in an old XP Machine to create a Hard Disk.
If however you can make an MO disk using IDE then that would do.
You could then load the system from that MO disk
Then
You could then copy areas E&F&I&K to the Hard Disk
Reload from the hard disk and start the install again.

Dear sbcsu,
The RMX and UW7 copy in HD (Partition K) is not clear (two packages corrupted),
how can I ask for new one? can I download it?
please tell me.

Do you know of any other V1 sites near you or that you have access to ?
You could create an MO Disk there and boot up your system from that.
Then copy over the Unix from the MO to get that going.

Other than that you would have to create a Disk or an MO Disk using V1 software.

I asked for any other V1 sites, but there is no one :(

"Other than that you would have to create a Disk or an MO Disk using V1 software."
what did you mean?

Dear sbcsu,

After I view VEGAS as long format, look at bottom. do you think it is the problem of Activating the BP?
I have floppy disk with the file (APFEL.KONDA), is this MML file? how can I use it?

It may be also that because GENDB has been used to add in the database that it has caused a problem.
I would not use GENDB unless I was very familiar with its usage.

what I have to instead of GENDB?
did the file APFEL.KONDA that it is come in floppy disk with hipath help me ?

Hi,
The KONDA disk is just really what you have purchased and the ANUM/ANSU system number and the recommended location of cards.
If you have the ANUM/ANSU and Codeword then forget about the Konda Disk.

GENDB is a way of restoring the system.
If you use it you can have problems unless you are experienced in restoring systems.

IF it was me:

Make a new disk
Put the information in Line By Line

OK, I will start in preparing new HD,
but I don't know the steps and which partition(s) I have to copy from the old HD.
please help

Do not bother with copying anything.
If you have a REGEN of where each card should be
or each extension/trunk
If this is only a starting/new site system then you do not need to copy anything from the old disk.

Make a new disk using PCHI
or copy from MO each area to a newly formatted disk.

Connect to Dongle using Comwin
Remove all cards except ADS Processor on left hand side
Start it up
EXE-DBC whatever value is in there
EXE-APC;

reload again
Put in the ADS values one by one and not GENDB
EXE-UPDAT:A1,ALL;

Put in the A Side SWU Processor cards

Dear Sbcsu,
I have some questions about your steps:

"If you have a REGEN"
What do you mean? which area on HD?

"Make a new disk using PCHI"
How can PCHI get the instillation file or boot image?

"or
copy from MO each area to a newly formatted disk."
I have MO with files like the files on the HD, I mean this MO is not RMX MO.

OK, I think I understand REGEN, you mean All amo commands that I need to add all the cards and trunks .., so I think it is like the file attached, but you tell me that I have to make this file like command in each line (without M1 1), so I can after that execute the command AMO by AMO (Line by line). is it right?

 http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=26218503-9ac6-4d61-aef2-1a0d4c94eb0a&file=L31905.rar
The file you have attached is a REGEN file but it only has the ADS, there is no SWU in it.

When you log on to the system
can you
REG-DIMSU;

Dear sbsu,
The REGEN file have been made by the command:
<START-REGEN:USERCODE=FS,SYSNO=L31905Z0045A00001,CONT=N,PROT=N,UNIT1=ALL;
START-REGEN:USERCODE=FS,SYSNO=L31905Z0045A00001,CONT=N,PROT=N,UNIT1=ALL;

H27: HW MODULE ADS REGENERATION SUCCESSFUL
H18: RESULT FILES HAVE BEEN COMBINED TO ONE FILE
H90: REGENERATION FINISHED
AMO-REGEN-111 REGENERATE CUSTOMER DATA FROM THE DATABASE
START COMPLETED;

As you see "HW MODULE SWU IS NOT PRESENT AND WON'T BE REGENERATED"
I think I need the command like ADD-???? to add SWU, so they can reorganize by the ADP

the result of DIMSU:
<REG-DIMSU;
S4: START OF AMO DIMSU UNSUCCESSFUL
CAUSE : TARGET PROCESSOR NOT ACCESSIBLE OR DOES NOT EXIST
EXCEPTION CODE: H'FFFD

Hi,
I know there is a problem with the Unixware.
However the more immediate problem surely is with the SWU (Switching Unit) - the A and B processors.
Yes you can ADD-ANUM to get the system number in there but it wont let you do that until you get the A side to 'yota'.

Remove the far right side one (B) and then power reload the system.
Does the A side (the left hand voice processor) come up to 'yota'

If not then I would get another hard disk and start from the start again.

Do you have a Hicom 310 (Small 19" rack HiPath system) ?

Dear sbcsu,
after removing CC-B, the CC-A has the shape "1", and it still on "1", I don't know what is "yota"

so, I will change the HD, but
How can PCHI get the instillation file or boot image? I don't know the steps in PCHI?

"or
copy from MO each area to a newly formatted disk."
I have MO with files like the files on the HD, I mean this MO is not RMX MO.
COPY-DDRSM:A1,1,E&F&G&H&K,6,E&F&G&H&I,N;
I can't do this, so I did:
COPY-DDRSM:A1,1,E&F,6,E&F,N;
And from Hipath assistant using
HD-F-AREA -> MO-F-AREA
HD-G-AREA -> MO-G-AREA
HD-H-AREA -> MO-H-AREA
RMX&UNIX DATA -> MO-SCR-AREA
is this OK for copying All HD to MO?

without HD-F-AREA -> MO-F-AREA

And I don't have Hicom 310

After 10 minutes the symbol on CC-A is: 0 -> 1 -> 0 -> 4 -> 1 -> (three dashes above each other) -> same repeat.
what does it mean?
