Hallo Hafwit.
I'm running on Windows '98 SE.
In general the movies types I'm talking about are .AVI or MPEG. I'm not running DVD movies. I have set the refresh rate at "optimum". The movies ware given by a friend of mine how doesn't have any problems playing them. I hope I've profided enough information.
Awaiting your reply. [sig][/sig]

ok, but what are &quot;YOUR&quot; problems, we dont even have a description if they play or not, if they play but they looked messed up, and so forth. I allready posted my problem under de subject: Problems playing moves on my pc, the discripton I gave above was a reply on some questions &quot;Hafwit&quot; had. Here's the problem discription again:

I have the following problem: I have a couple of movies on cd. But when I insert the cd into the cdrom-drive and play the movie the framerate is at many points in the movie very low. Also the movie frequently shocks and when I see people talking I first hear what they are saying and then a couple of seconds later I actually see there lips moving. This is really annoying. I think there could be somekind of buffer problem but I don't know for sure and I don't know how to solve it. Other people with globally the same computer specs as mine also tested my movie-cd and they don't have the problems I have. What could be the problem? My computer specs are: Pentium 3 450 Mhz, 128 MB SDRAM 100 Mhz, Diamond Viper 770 TNT2 32 MB, 40 speed Aopen cdrom-drive and a 8,5 GB 5400 rpm harddisk. OS=Windows '98 SE
THANXX! [sig][/sig]

if you already posted your problem, you were supposibly supposed to keep the whole thread together, dont start a new thread just to respond to people, it makes the whole issue confusing. now I see your old post, but it still doesnt explain exactly what kind of problems you are having, just saying it isnt working doesnt give much detail on the symptoms [sig]<p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.com>kb244@kb244.com</a><br><a href= </a><br>Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)<br>

I can't be more specific as mentioned above.
When I play the movie (.AVI or MPEG) from de cdrom-drive de movie shocks and jitters, but not the hole time. Voices and lip movements don't match. They differ a couple of seconds ( +/- 2 seconds) first I hear a voice and then I see lips moving. I tried decreasing and increasing de resolution, but neither make any difference. The refershrate is set at &quot;optimum&quot; at all resolutions. I also tried increasing the buffersize in Windows mediaplayer, but this also has no effect. My idea was a buffer problem. Friends of mine don't have this problem, but since no two pc's are the same this doesn't say anything. This is as much information I can give you, if this is still not enough information, please let me know what kind of information you futher need. My computer specs one more time: Windows '98 SE, 40 speed Aopen CDROM-drive, Pentium 3 450 Mhz, Diamond Viper 770 32 MB TNT2, 128 MB SDRAM 100 mhz, Abit BX6 Rev.2.0 Intel 440BX 100 Mhz and a 8,5 GB 5400 rpm harddisk. I've come up with an example of my problem. (That this didn't cross my mind earlier) The example: It's like playing a movie directly from the internet in high resolution and quality with a 56K modem. The image you then see that's globally with I see on my screen, but then playing it from a cdrom-drive. [sig][/sig]
