re-enabling autorun

Hi I use the windows ME operating system, and recently I have noticed that the autorun feature has stopped working. I think it may just be disabled. The funny thing is though it still seems to work for DVD’s. Does anyone know how to re-enable autorun?

thanks for your reply joker19745, i've tried editing my registry (which i'm not really familiar with) but this hasn't appeared to work.
i've also noticed that when i right click on my cd-rom drive (with an autorun cd inserted) the option to auto play is not in the menu.
if anyone has any ideas i'd be very gratefull.
