Hello,
I have been tasked out to wipe our current SMS site and install new. What, if anything, should be done to the clients?? Should they be clean of all SMS related material before I bring down the site?? I don't want to bring up the new site and have issues with clients trying to refer to the old site information. Thanks in advance...

When a site is restored or new installed, the password for the default SMS Client Connection account is reset. If you have not created any client connection accounts in addition to the default, the SMS clients will effectively be unable to connect to a CAP because the password recognized by the client will be different from that reassigned as a result of the reinstallation. There is no way to set the password back to the original.
So, you have to specify, BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL the site, a new client connection account and wait for a CCIM cycle.
Specify this account AFTER the new site installation.
The Windows NT client clients will use this specific account.
