Hi,

I have illustrator for a pc, and something has caused my black arrow tool to no longer be bale to scale graphics. Any idea how to reset this back to default or change ir back to let me scale graphics again.

Thanks.

frontdm - The thread below may address the problem. It seems when any of these apps start behaving badly the answer is always "trash the prefs." This is the thread but I'm not sure if it will link (not proficient at this) so I also attached the response compliments of jmgalvin.

Here's jmgalvin's original response:
First step when any app acts up is to trash prefs. Hard drive/user/library/Adobe illustrator/Adobe illustrator prefs.

While still in user/prefs also trash "com.adobe.illustrator.plist"

Good luck... kim

Unfortunately, that's for mac. I don't know how to trash prefs in Windows. Apepp does. Hopefully he'll come along.

Otherwise search this forum for "preferences". There are many answers available.

Thanks for clearing that up jmgalvin - I didn't realize.

frontdm - Try to do a search for AIPrefs. I think it's somewhere in the Documents and Settings folder. Give it a shot until Apepp tunes in tells us we're way off.

Thanks for the advise! I was having the same problem with CS2 and after deleting the contents of the Prefs folder my scaling/rotating works perfectly again.
