I have a spreadsheet of information which needs to be re worked into a different spreadsheet format. Currently the information is in a spreadsheet that has one row per entry and looks like

WellName Isachsen Iso Deer-Bay Iso Awingak Iso
Red Fox I-05 640 260 900 75 975 335
Beavertail B-26 628 144 772 364

And it needs to look like:

Well Name Formation Depth Thickness
Red Fox I-05 Isachsen 640 260
Red Fox I-05 Deer Bay 900 75
Red Fox I-05 Awingak 975 335
Beavertail B-26 Deer Bay 628 144
Beavertail B-26 Awingak 772 364

The data is not necessarily present in all the columns, there are about 150 columns of data and there is no pattern to when the data starts and finishes in any given row. I can provide the spreadsheet as an example if it helps at all…

Many thanks,

Matthew.

The only way you're going to get any way near this is to transpose - copy the data, edit, paste special, and click the transpose check box.

But it's not going to do exactly what you want....

Don't do this on live data!!

Thanks anyhow, but it won't do. Might try euthenasia.

I was standing in the park, wondering why frisbees got bigger as they came closer... then it hit me!
