RCC Server and IPview Softboard running on same machine

We currently are using IP view Soft board version 2.0.009 running on the RCC server. We are having a problem when we run the application on the computer; it stops operation correctly, which in turn stops all the echoing applications as well.

The machine is a dell optiplex GX745

with an intel celeron 3GHz proc
Gig of ram

and no other apps running at the same time.



And ideas?
 
What operating system is running the server ?
How many PC soft boards are you running at once ?

Have a look in your system event and see if the following event appears "EventID 4226
 
It's running WinXP Pro SP2 it's echoing to about 15 other computers
 
I had a the same issue on 5 sites but with less soft boards in but very busy call centers. there are two ways to over come this, if you have the same problem as i had..

Read the part of this document titled "Limited number of simultaneous incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts" to get an idea off what going on.


BTW the event 4226 does not always appear with this issue.

1. Setup the Rcc server to echo only 2-3 soft boards and have those soft board echo the rest..

2. Upgrade the RCC server to windows 2000 server or 2003 server

there is a third option that i don`t recommend buts its worth a try before you upgrade to windows server..
