I am trying to install RCC on a PC running XP pro with service pack 3. This is off a CallPilot 150 3.0 that does have the proper RCC Keycode installed. I cannot get it to retrieve "sync" or retrieve the calls. Could this be related to the service pack 3 as the documentation shows SP2?

Yes, dont touch the PC if it aint broke...even putting IE 8 on it will give you grief.
There is no reason to rum updates on an RCC server as it should ONLY be used just for that.

You can try to reverse the damage by Add/Remove programs otherwise you may need to re-install everything from scratch.

The Call Center is refusing the connection on port 2223.
Please ensure that the Call Center has completed its boot cycle.

The IT manager wont install says Micro soft doesnt support it and he cannot, any work arounds? Installed the lates server software from Nortel issies this year 2010 and same issue. Cannot get past this point!

Honestly I suggest you tell him you cannot help him then.
Thats what I have been doing.

You want a Nortel product and they have specs, if you dont want to abide by the specs then I wont waste my time supporting you because I cant support a product thats not ran at it's specs.
If you want you can upgrade to a new system that has reporting built in.

I agree but you know how bosses are the customer is always right so I need to find a way to get this done one way or another......Anybody have any luck installing RCC on a XP pro with SP3? I cannot get past the server software TEST I get the message above.

How do I load the latast software on the CallPilot itself? I have access to Nortel to get the software just not sure on the installation process to load? I would imagine it is unlike BCM where I just give the IP adress and used ID and it does the rest.

I have installed RCC on XP Pro with service pack 3 without an issue - actually the only issue I have is the PC needs to reboot every so often cause the java for realtime quits working???

Make sure you are running the latest version of everything.

Callpilot - 31.10.36.22
CCRSAppServer - 31.10.36.16
RCC - 2.45.105

Be sure you have configured windows firewall to allow those ports and also check if you have any AV installed giving you headaches. Another note that I have not strayed from is use Java 1.6 and as someone else mentioned TURN OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES!

DMilden I wonder if they upgraded after RCC install or installed after Windows installed and updated.

This is more of an FYI mainly if wanting to run Win 7 and programs that are not compatible with Win 7.

For Win 7 you can down load XP Mode:

This allows Windows XP to run virtualy within Windows 7.

So update Win 7 to your content, this way you technically have a PC on the network to IT's specs.
Then you can run run/install programs on XP mode.

I run the program and is great but have not tried it for something like RCC....I use it to run NRU.

You need to ask the IT dept if this is satisfactory to them as I dont know about security issues on virtual machines.

I will be updating the Call Pilot 150 next week to the Specs listed. I just loaded the software on my lab CP 150 and everything upgraded succesfully. I will let you guys no how it turns out.

Sometimes when people post especially Programmers I tend to not (or forget) to ask if your updated and in some case completely not see what was posted and in your case i missed that you said CP was at 3.0 which is very much outdated since there have been several release of 3.1 since.

This would/could be your issue....good luck!

@curlycord

The PC was a fresh install of winxp service pack 3. RCC was installed ontop of the fresh install so no RCC wasnt existing when PC was upgraded to service pack 3.

Installed all teh latest from Nortel last week and no longer get the error in original post, however I now get "server status cannot be determined" when trying to retrieve calls from CallPilot. It appears all is well in the maintenance screen with all "OK" and green lights.

Any Ideas im going crazy and customer is wanting a refund now!

Callpilot - 31.10.36.22
CCRSAppServer - 31.10.36.16
RCC - 2.45.105

Wish I could but this is a fresh install with a newly imaged PC XP PRo SP3.

I've went through alot of problems with RCC the past year with a customer.. If you uninstalled the old version of RCC and appserver and installed the latest release I would suggest uninstalling them both again and poke through your registry and remove ANY entry of RCC, callpilot ect.. from there. Then install latest release again. I did this with a customer and it cured all their issues. Uninstall must not remove all previous entries from registry which conflict with current versions.

Also just another quick test - test your realtime screen and see if that works. That will tell if the connection between the RCC and callpilot is up and working.
