O.K, i placed a thread on here a while back asking how can i use a 2d logo with the illistrator 3d-bevel and extrude tool. I was told i need to convert the image to vector to do this, but wasn't given any further instructions, maybe this is a simple process and self explanatory but i still can't do it.
Basically when i use the live trace tool, it seems to have traced the logo but when i put in the 3d bevel and extrude it puts the effect around the outside canvas/background of my image, not the logo itself.
I need help on how to cut out the logo from the background and use all the elements as one single layer that i wish to add 3d to.
Can anyone please help, i'm fluent with Photoshop but not with illustrator so please can anyone give me a step by step easy to understand guide on how i can do this ?
I'm using photoshop/illustrator cs4 on windows
Thanks
Steve
