I setup a new RAS server and when I dial in the modem answers. When it tries to verify the id/password it disconnects. I've checked the id/password on both ends.
Where should I look next? I've had ras running on my NT server but this is the first Win/2000 server I've installed.

Thanks

Pat

Hi Patrick,

Have you enabled "Dial In" rights to the user account?

Thanks for responding.

Because I had RAS working on the NT I thought it was most
likely something that was different in W2K.
After much reading and checking setups and re-testing I got an error in the event log that the port I was trying to use was for routing. I found I had "Router" checked on the
"General" tab of the server properties. After un-checking
"Router", dialin worked.

Now on to RRAS Security.
