Something strange is going on when I RAS into an S8700. I use to be able to RAS in with Login/ Password but now when I try to RAS I no longer get the standard Login I get "Enter Login Name". When I type in the normal login/ password I get disconnected.

Does anyone know why I am getting "Enter Login Name" instead of the standard Login?

Thanks for taking the time to view my thread.

someone stole the modem and put it on another system.
Get them to move the modem back to the s8700

Thank you for the response, that is also what I beleive but I am being told by the onsite Tech that the Modem is plugged into the S8700.

I will send a Tech to investigate the issue.

Thanks again for the response. Cheers

This is a valid login prompt preceded by the s8700 server name. "login" is preceded by the linux kernel-release.

server1
2.6.11-AV31login: rasaccess
Password:

init@server1> uname -r
2.6.11-AV31

If your login prompt does not look like this, it is not an Avaya linux server.
