Well from the subject you see what i need. when i dial the RAS server, which is a win2k prof machine, it answers and then gives the log on box with name password and domain but no matter what user name or password i give it it says cannot authneticate the user name or password. on the ras server itself the event viewer says the service is configured for local service only. can any one help?

it may be because it is trying to authenticate from the account database located on the win 2k pro machine, have you tried logging in with the local administrator account on that pc?? is the win2k pro machine a member of the domain? is ICS disabled?
try running ras on the NT server and see if that makes a difference.
Jon.
