Does anyone know if it's possible to configure the RaptorMobile VPN on a PC connected to the Internet via Microsoft's Internet Connection Sharing (i.e. not the physical PC connected to the Internet)?
I'm having exactly the same issue with Raptor, I have an XP machine that is sharing the connection and a 2000 machine connected to it. When I try and use Raptor on the 2000 machine to connect via the ICS to my work it connects, but I can't see anything on the other side of the VPN!!!
Seems like the ICS is not allowing the VPN to talk back to my 200 machine.
Have you managed to find anything out on the issue, if so could you point me in the right direction.
The v7 client should help out, especially with WindowsXP. But the new client by default disables ICS in the Port Control tab of the client. So you will need to adjust that.
alfastar the vpn client drops broadcast traffic by default. Can you ping across the tunnel? Netbios would be dropped so I think the only way you would be able to browse is use a wins server or maybe an lmhosts file.
if this would work it would be a security breach. It just doesn't work. You need to install another firewall and configure a site to site VPN. this will allow all clients to connect to the other LAN. Just forget about combining ICS and raptor mobile
