I just got hit with a ransomware virus. It's encryped my files and has an extension *.uyro. Is there any remedy to this?

I'm just in the process of rebuilding my damaged system. I've been busy and haven't had a chance to do this until now.

I've installed Bitdefender on my ASUS laptop and plan to use this to reformat (using DiskPart) my two infected solidstate drives. Is it safe to plug them into the USB ports and simply reformat. Will Bitdefender prevent the SSDs from infecting the laptop? I'm using my laptop as a bit of a sandbox in case something gets re-infected.

Thanks Dik.
