Hi All,

Firstly, im using Crystal Reports XI and ODBC

Now,

1. I have a running total field to calculate the Availability of each staff member. #Actual_Availability
2. I have a formula showing the Adherence percentage of each staff member. @Adherence = (#Actual_Availability/table.scheduled_available)

I have 3 groups, Site, Team and Agent

Heres what it looks like:

GH1 Hidden

GH2 Group #2 Name
"Name" "Sched Avail" "Act Avail" "Adherence"

GH3 hidden

D hidden

GF3 "Group #3 Name" 07:35:00 07:00:00 92%

GF2 hidden

GF1 hidden

I have been looking through all the suggestions relating to group sorting and TopN and subreports etc, but none that related to totals involving Running Totals.

Can someone please provide me with an exanantion as to how i'd go about sorting by rank or just adding a rank number based on the adherence%

Thanks

Eddie S

Are you sure you need to use a running total instead of an inserted summary?

Actual Availability needs to be a running total becuase it summarises the ACT_AVAIL field where SCHED_AVAIL <> 0.

You won't be able to do this with running totals. Because you are using a horizontal calculation, I think you will need to use a command to return the summary at the detail level. You can then create a formula that does the calculation per row and insert a sum on it. It will then be available for a group sort.

I'm hesitant to supply more detail because I don't understand your fields or their datatypes. For more help, please show some sample detail level data, show the formulas you are using to arrive at your group #3 summaries, and identify the datatypes of the fields. I would also want to know whether Sched_Avail is a field that is the same for all detail rows per group. Please also supply the field names for your groups.
