Does anyone out there knows about a "virus" that keeps writing random words. It happens only when i use IE and the page has a text im browsing has a text box, like google for example. I have the computer scanned with norton several times without any detection. It even happens without being connected to the net too. Taht thing takes a lot of resources, and seems like is doing nothing else but writing and eating the CPU.
I went to look the processes and everything keeps unchanged before and after it starts doing the writing.
Does anyone have any clue?

This is what I would do, go to
On that site there is a search for differnet viruses. You can either search for actions the virus does, words that appear, or the virus name. It has proven very helpful to me before, when I had no idea what the virus is.

Is this happening on 1 site? Is it the same words? Can you describe it more, and maybe soemone else has seen or heard of it with more detail.

yes it only happening on one site or computer, it keeps more or less tiwh the same words, but from time to time, it writes new ones. it repeats "they" a lot the Other day it came with a name "O'Connor" (i dont know if it is following a song) some donts too like "......", the word "house" too.
Thanks for your hint, i did it already in other sites, but no results, i received some viruses, but all of them related to emails and is not what is ahppening to me.
Thanks a lot anyway..i appreciate any help A+, MCP, CCNA

See if this applies to you.

To resolve the problem, Microsoft said XP users should disable the Dictation and the Voice Command features on the operating system's Language bar. Alternately, users can turn off speech recognition completely from the Regional and Language Options tool on XP's Control Panel.

Merely unplugging or turning off the computer's microphone does not correct the random-character problem, according to several user reports.

First i tried dealing with speech recognition with office, because it was doing it with word (ramdom wiriting), BUt then i saw it was doing it with IE too, but i was blind to try with something alike (speech recognition) with the OS.
THanks a lot, i really apreciate your help.
