Hello

We recently have had an increase in call volume and noticing a lot of calls that are dropping and calls with no audio but show connected. I checked licensing issues and line usage and no issues with that. We have a PRI configured that is connected to an adtran that translates to SIP trunks. The provider says they traced back to adtran and issue appears to be on our side. I re-booted the IPO and the issue was gone for about 5 hours and then slowly came back.

Any thoughts? I have talked with the vendor and provider and they did not have any answers.

Thanks!

I've seen strange things with Adtran devices in the past, and in almost every scenario it's a problem with the Adtran. Of course, the Adtran vendor always says they've done their trace and it's fine.
I would suggest you have them trace live calls and, when you get a failure, have them check the negotiation. I would guess that either the codec or the payload size is mismatched.

Thanks for reply, in system status I am seeing a round trip delay from line 9(PRI) to the IPO. That does not seem to sync with the issues but going to reboot that adtran.

Jordan,

I don't see any mention of phone type. You say call volume has picked up. Thought I'd mention you may need a VCM resource for each call to your PRI.
