i have an abit kx7333r motherboard. the latest bios update and the latest 4 in 1 drivers installed. i recently purchased 2 wd800jb drives and put them in a raid 0 configuration. it's all setup and runs great...except for when i go into the raid bios utiltity, it shows both drives as ata/33??? they should be ata/100??? what gives? i even went to western digitals wesite and got a utility that manually sets the transfer speeds? please help!

you need to use ata/100 cables to make the drive work in ata/100 mode. if you are using the old style cables with black or gray connectors on both ends then changing to an ata/100 cable with blue connector on one end and gray on the other will fix the problem. ata/100 cable looks much thinner than the standard cable. It is the same width as old style cables but it has 80 wires instead of 40.

rxpete, thanks for the reply...the thing is that i am using ata/133 certified cables with the one end blue and the other end grey...any other suggestions?
