The machine powers up but the screen is multi-colored during start up and is blocky as you only can see half of the my computer icon at the very top left the rest is nothing. If I click inside the rest of the area blocks appear running the length of the screen. It would appear there's an issue with viewing the home page and can't see the start up windows icon during start up...any ideas on how to fix or repair it?

Have you tried to VNC into the machine and see if it is just a display issue. If its a display issue there are many places out there you can send for repair. I work with a really good one out of Michigan. Contact me through yahoo email.

I left it plugged in for over an hour I come back and I see everything is just fine...so I think it just needed to be warmed up possibly.
