Once in the EDC Screen of ALOHA V6.4 and added VISANET as a Processor, does anyone know where to add teh VisaNet SSL informaiton so it will connect HIGH SPEED? Can you help me?

Enter the information your processor gave you in all the blank boxes - and check the use SSL box.

Cheers,
Coorsman

Hello Coorsman. I did so which then GRAYS OUT the TCP/IP Frame Relay directly below. When I START POS PROCESSING and run a Test Transaciton, it goes directly to DIAL UP. There isn't a place where to enter the Gateway Information of

You don't need to put anything in the gateway information.

you might need to add:
USEHTTPS=1 in the system section of the EDC.INI file.

What version of Internet explorer are you on.
check internet explorer - Make sure Use SSL 2.0 is selected in advanced internet options.

Do you have a firewall and is it blocking access to via port 5003.

I'll check for more if this doesn't help.

Coorsman your awesome!
* Can you give me step by Step directions to add USEHTTPS=1 to the EDC.INI FIle?

* They are using Internet Exploere 6.0.

* They are also using SONIC WALL. I don't know how to get into the Firewall to see if the PORT is OPEN?

Cooresman, ALso, if I have to do it again at another site, do know or have the Username and Password to get into the EDC V6.4? Thank you

browse to aloha\edc open edc.ini - u can use notepad or it should automatically open. under the [system] parameters add USEHTTPS=1

Cheers,
Coorsman

The back door to edc or aloha in version 6.4 and above has been removed. If you can't edit the processors after stopping pos processing you will have to contact yor dealer. They have access directly into your computer and can add an access level to allow you to access all your parameters. I would get really ugly with them if they refuse. It's your software and you need to have access. Most delaers lock you out of making processor changes, they like to charge you to change them $$$$.

Cheers,
Coorsman

Good Morning Coorsman! Yes you are right. Do you have knowledge as to how to get into the SONIC WALL (FIRE WALL) to open a PORT 5003? We tried yesterday and we can't. Again, it is one of things ALOHA may charge on. Thank you.

Sorry, no standard password for the sonic wall either. "If were you I would insist that your dealer give you full permission to all YOUR system hardware and sofware passwords and rights.

Cheers,
Coorsman

Coorsman. 10-4. I'll let you know how your advice turns out. We'll be doing it on Monday. Thank you 1001 times! Have a great weekend.

I am changing my processor. I entered the info off the tear sheet on a location running EDC 5.3 all is well. When i enter the info into a location running EDC 6.4.25 it does not work. I get the error code Reason 19 re-enter. Any ideas? Thanks

In v6.3x and newer of Aloha the Yisanet platform changed from SSL 1 to SSL 2. Many processors leach on the Visanet platform so if you are using a processor other than Vital on Visanet in EDC you will need to follow Coorsman's advise above to tell EDC to use HTTPS (SSL 1). Again that is in the edc.ini
[System]
Use HTTPS=1

I am switching over to Visanet platform. So i need to add the USEHTTPS=1 to my edc.ini file? if so, where does it need to be added in the ini file? does it matter?

oops sorry. Just found where to put it. Thanks for all the help. I will let you know if it works.

Guys. Here's some additional info. Coorsmen is right. Since you've paid for the hardware/software, you have a right to the passwords. The issue is in the SONIC WALL. You have to call them and have them open the correct PORT in order to send the transaction (XTN) High Speed. They do not want you to have access to the PORTS. I guess if we wanted, we could have pushed them. Since they were willing to do it, we let them open it up.

I own my V/MC Processing Company processing all over the U.S. for Restaurant, Hotel, Retail and ecommerce Mchts. If you have any questons about any of it, let me know. Dave
