Radeon 9800 Pro problems

Hey everyone,
I recently built my own computer, spec being:
XP3000 on a MSI K7N2 Delta mobo, 512mb PC3200 RAM, 450w psu and a Gigabyte Radeon 9800 Pro (256Mb).
After building the comp and getting the OS on there, everything appeared to be going well, until I tried running a few games; the system would just reboot at random intervals throughout. Sometimes it would be after 2 minutes, sometimes after 10 etc...
I've tried reinstalling the ATI drivers from both the CD & their website, but to no avail.
The card is correctly seated and is plugged into the PSU.
Any ideas would be great as I'm out...

P.s. I have a Thermaltake Xaser III. It has 7 fans in, so it does suck out some power too...

Try disconnecting 4 of the fans leaving just 2 exhaust and one blower (and processor obviously) and see if it runs reliably (if a little hotter than before) if so then it's more than likely your PSU isn't up to it...

I tried disconnecting some fans, had no effect... but on an interesting note, the system rebooted suddenly while NOT in a game and with no graphic intensive stuff going on (just sitting there with the desktop open)...

Can someone tell me if they get a BIOS screen for the 9800 Pro when they start their machine, as I'm noticing that I don't appear to have a BIOS for the card when I initially start...

It's been a while since the above was posted but i'll write anyway =)
I've experienced problems similar to yours, some games are displaying 3d abnormalities and after a while the system reboots. By the way, the bios info is visable if you plug a TV to your video card and have it on when you restart the computer.

My system is:
MSI KT3Ultra (333)
AMD XP1700+
512MB (2x256)Samsung PC2700
Soundblaster Audigy2
A 300W psu

I bought and installed a Hercules Radeon 9800pro 128Mb a while ago and I have not been able to solve these problems.
You could try and disable "sideband adressing" (I think thats what its called) in advanced display properties. That solved problems I had in Windows but not in any games unfortunately. Maybe ATI cards don't work good with MSI cards, i don't know. If anyone else knows anything about compability problems between ATI and MSI feel free to write.

He is a stupid question. It is very common and happens to sometimes the best.... When installing your motherboard. Did you happen to put an extra motherboard support screw on there without having a hole drilled on the motherboard?

(inbetween the case and motherboard is a screw extension(((usually gold)))) if you put one on there without the motherboard having a hole for to put a screw in, this can sometimes cause system reboots mentioned above. I would definately check that out and it very well could be your problem.
