Hello,

I purchased a 9800 pro a good few months back and installed it into my win XP machine. All worked fine apart from one big problem. The driver software said my current AGP speed was 0. I thought this was because of driver conflicts with my old Nvidia card. 3d Marks proved it was not running at all well.
So.... not being a big fan of XP pre sp2 i installed win2k back onto my machine, looked at my AGP speed and lovely jubly x8 speed.
It had been a while since installing win2k now and have just put XP sp2 back on tonight due to Spyware, virus and all the other things i seem to spend most of my life trying to abolish from my machine (sorry for any spooling mistakes, haven't got round to putting office back on yet :)
Anyway.... XP is on and im back to AGP x(big fat zero). Help!!! All latest XP catalyst drivers are on. Graphics are lacking in FPS's again! :(

Sapphire 9800 pro
ASUS A7N8X deluxe

Any help much appriciated. Extra points for pointing out the speeling mistakes. :)
Thank you,
O.G

Are all of the acceleration options enabled in DirectX/Display?
If so, then install the latest version of DirectX.

Also, try the latest drivers for the video card.

Hi ski,
I have directX 9.0c and all acceleration options are enabled.
As mentioned, all latest ATI catalyst drivers are installed.
Cheers

Did you try different drivers, and check ATI's site for any patches?

Yup. Tried the driver months ago and two last night.
I’m in the process of mailing ATI. If they cant help nobody can!!!)

It's sorted.
I downloaded the ASUS nForce drivers from ASUS web site for my ASUS mobo. They claimed to be the same as NVIDIA's latest drivers. They are not. I downloaded the nForce drivers from NVIDIA (where i should of to begin with) and all is now working fine.
Thank you for you help.
