Hello. have asked about every where i can think of including amptron (who dont accept phone tech support) and ATI (great tech support). i cant figure out a solution to my problem which might just require i get a decent mother board. which i will do just as soon as i can. but for now i need a fix for my problem.

i have installed the gcard and the latest drivers. as well as installed the latest agp drivers, and check to make sure i was using the latest bios.(i think i am).

when i run in 133 bus speed my computer will reboot as soon as i start a 3d application. when i run it at 100 mhz bus speed my card will work just great. but this causes my processor to run at only 1.9 ghz. and of course at only a 400 mhz fsb. what can i do to get it to work properly? i have tried every thing i can think of. here is alittle info about my system.

P4 2.54 ghz
512 of pc2700 ddr.
Radeon 9700 pro
amptron p4-935lu mother board using the sis640gl chipset.
it uses american megatrends bios. cant remember the version right off hand.

i have checked for shared irq's which it was sharing with usb ports i disabled the usb and it still dont work on 133 bus. i have underclocked the card using powerstrip. no go. i have unplugged everything except motherboad graphics card and hard drive from powersupply (300w) still nothing.

any suggestions? any help would be great thanks a bunch.

The problem you are describing about the random reboot is something I had last week. It was the driver of my Sound Blaster Live that was faulty. It update the WDM driver to a faulty version which caused me a lot of problems. Check out if the driver of your sound card is correct. Try running a game without the sound card.

i will check every driver for every device i have and make sure they are current. i will post what i find out. maybe this is the problem

well i have all the latest drivers. that dont seem to be the problem
