I recently bought this game called world of warcraft which was great and after a week of me playing it i started to get these errors. "VPU Recover was unable to fully recover from hardware deadlock, and has switched to software rendering. To restore hardware rendering, you must restart your computer. Do you want to restart your computer now"

Now i have a 450 power supply so i doubt it can be lack of power since all im running is a dvd drive and 2 hdds. Its not heat because the temp guage says its running at 30 degrees celcius. It's not the ram because i ran tests on it. It's not the processor i ran tests on that also. So its the actual graphics card itself or the motherboard. Anybody know any motherboard tests/programs the board is a A"lbatron KX400-8XV-PRO" and yes i have updated the drivers for the card and i have also updated the mb drives.

Is it now never working or does it work after a system shutdown and restart?

Have you tried it at a lower resolution? It may show that the VPU has a heat problem in 3-D modes at some resolutions.

I tried a lower resolution 800x600. When i restart or shutdown i still get the same thing. I get into the game i run around a bit and then it freezes. VPU error. I thought it might be a hardware conflict but im not sure. Maybe digitally signing or somthing will make a difference but i dont know how to do that. Any ideas??

WoW does a lot of texture loading, meaning a lot of data transfers over the AGP bus. Are there any BIOS adjustments on the mobo for the AGP settings? Are there AGP drivers for your mobo?

umm im not sure you might need to explain that to me in 5 yr old language. How would i know if there are any AGP drivers ect?

find out who makes your mobo, then check and see if they have drivers availible, possibly you need to update your chipset drivers......Just a thought.
