System: ASUS MB, P4 1.6G, 1 Gb memory, Win 2000 Pro, Radeon 7500 All-In-Wonder.

Have tried different digital cameras to use for webcam conferences on NetMeeting or Yahoo Messenger.

Not able to find camera on either app. When using ATI TV, can switch to composite input and see camera view with no problems.

I'm stumped, have reloaded the OS. Everything but captures work to NetMeeting/Yahoo. Bought the card to conference with family, now no joy and out cost of card.

Using DirectX 8.1 with capture patch.

Tested same on WIN98SE system with same results. What am I missing?

Dude let me know when you get it working, have not got a clue. But i do have a radeon 7500 and webcam and w98se, still working out a few bugs. from what i have learned ATI Radeon is famous for screwy drivers and installs. have gotten everything to work but one game my son plays, Never Winternights, just cant put my finger on the problem yet. Try the pc check in your program. LOL PEARL

Do a google search for radeon capture drivers, found a few problems with Ati. LOL PEARL

Spent most of yesterday working it. I downloaded the MS utility AMCAP, and it work fine there so it says that it is at that level. But with VID32, it is not. I dug further and found that it appears there maybe a missing crossbar driver to link the ATI to the applications.

When I look in the "Legacy Video Capture Devices" driver, it is blank. Expect that there is a missing driver, but have searched Google and looked at several sites with no success. Brody

Do an ATI search for archived drivers, just a tip may help may not. ATI has a lot of problems with drivers.

i am having the same problems but with the ATI AIW 128. its boggling me. i have two computers and they both have the same software on them just different hardware. i can get the web cam in yahoo to work fine on my older computer with a asus p2b-d dual p2 450mhz, 262mb of ram, 40gb ibm, win2k pro, ATI AIW 128. the computer i just built is an acorp dual p3 with only 1 p3 733mhz installed, 292mb or ram, on board raid dual ibm 60gb, win2k pro, and i installed the AIW in my new computer.

i've tried reinstalling uninstalling everything. both computer have all the updates installed for win2k and are running dx8.1. all the settings and versions in yahoo match. i can use the tv tuner on both computers. sometimes both the camera options are greyed out in yahoo properties. yahoo doesn't recognize the AIW card on the newer computer. i get the error no camera found or this camera doesn't support the required image size.

i can't figure out the difference between these to computers besides the obvious hardware but the hardware works fine just not yahoo. i'm convinced its a software problem of some sort. i think brodyb is on the right track. i think it might be something as easy as downloading some legacy drivers or something. i can't get any help from yahoo or anyone in yahoo chat help.

i love being able to use yahoo with my capture card to use my video camera as a web cam the picture is better than any web cam i've seen. the options are endless with the tuner as well. guywonder

I too have tried the Radeon AIW 7500 on two different platforms. The one I have listed on beginning of this string, and the other is on an Abit MB, Celeron 600, 256 Mb, 60G, w/ Win 2k. Same results. Using the ATI software all works, but with YIM or Netmeeting I cannot capture the video for chat with same message you have.
