Dear all

I have been trying to get a test environment setup so that a few of us at work can learn the basics before our live system, goes live !!!

I am having some real problems! During the installation of 4.6C I got the RADDBDIF error. I checked the SAP OSS and found that the program could be re-run after installation.

I tried to do this, having checked that the network location of my SAPTRANSHOST was ok, and I still get the WRITE_FAILED error. I have checked that the transport directory is ok, I can read and write to it.

My set:
1. Server (ip: 192.168.1.50) Windows 2000 Advanced Server - two instances of SAP BW, and the transport directory

2. Server (ip: 192.168.1.3) Windows 2000 Advanced Server -two instances of SAP 4.6C with Oracle 817

3. Workstation (ip: 192.168.1.20) Windows 2000 Professional - SAP GUI

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi OLAPer,

you have to create manually the user SIDadm and SAPServiceSID of the server which share the SAPTRANSHOST on the new server (test environment).

Val
