I have a FastRad that I would like to pickup a target line(216). The problem is that when we set it up(9**,auto answer,line216), it will not answer the call. I can place it on the rad dn with an A&R, and see it ring if I am transfered to remote set. But it will not auto answer. Is there a step that I need to look for?

you have it set to auto ans? What answer delay is it set for? Have you tried going in through operator assist mode to see if maybe general delivery is grabbing it, or the auto attendant? Leave it at auto answer in the rad programming, but set your connect type to operator assist. If you get the rad tone, click ok as if you were transferred in. I've had the same problem on target lines and that way always seems to work.

xfer into works fine, just getting the RAD to AA,6 SECONDS, LINE 216, is where my problem is.

So, when you go in through operator assist mode does the rad auto ans? I don't think i said it properly...leave your settings as they are on the rad. when you dial in use operator assist mode, but have it dial the target line #, so no one will xfer you in, the rad should answer. Does it?

No the target will not AA, but I can have the tech on site F9*0 into the RAD. While into the remote set I can program the target line to appear and ring on my laptop's phone and when I call it, it does flash so I know it is the proper target. ???

Hmmm. you may want to reset the rad, and if that doesn't work try assigning a different target line, or if they have any analog lines, see if it will aa on analog. I'll see if anyone else I know has run into this problem. Good luck!

I think it may need the firmware upgrade. I will have to send an updated RAD to site to see.

Yes, if it is an older Fast RAD, you will need the patch to update the firmware for it to answer any off core lines, including target lines.
