Just found out we can't get R9 licenses, is there any way around that?
Really need to add some power users to our system, and can't do an upgrade right now.

Swap the SD Card with one that has the licenses you require and change the keys in the config.

ACSS (SME)

What version are you at right now? the upgrades are not that expensive to go to R11.

We are on R9,
It adds up quickly when you consider we need All new phones, new software from Datel, and developer time to fix all our custom CRM integrations.

I ended up signing up for RingCentral, and forwarding our main support line there.
Maybe if I like it I'll ditch Avaya all together... we have to buy new phones anyway.

Ah..so you have some older 5xxx series phones that wont work on R11? Thats tough, it does add up as you say.

54xx phones will work with R11 but not supported.

I'm not sure if stopping pre R10 licences for Avaya was a good idea. I can see the need to move forward but suspect many are looking elsewhere.

R9 can run PLDS licensing. Get some temp r9 power users and add PLSD to it. You can run ADI and PLDS at the same time...(9 and 9.1)

Yes you can run PLDS and ADI at the same time - and it leads to a lot of problems. Seen too many support cases resolved by just deleting the ADI licenses from the config. But yes, if it can run PLDS licenses, move all the existing licenses plus the new power users to PLDS.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
