Hello all,

This is the scenario (which worked prior to R9.0

Caller reaches VM Pro Atendant
dials option to reach emergency contacts
Call is redirected to a sequential group with 8 extensions each forwarded/twinned to external number (I have tried forwarding, twinning, short codes with dial)
IF call is not answered in 10 seconds call is pulled back to go to next member in group.

Failure point:
As of now the call just goes to the first member and stays with that member until either its answered by the owner of the cell or that cells VM picks up.

Why is this no longer working and what needs to be done to make this happen?

Add info:
I have tried using VM Pro assisted transfer to external numbers leaving out the group and the extension with no luck

Appreciate the help, I have gone through my resources of tech support who have confirmed my config good and am now waiting on Avaya to respond.....

Probably something isn't good with your config.

Post that or a monitor trace, most things can be figured out from monitor traces, don't know why people refuse to use them =)

there is your problem!
analog lines cannot pass back any call status indications to the IPO so it has to assume the call has been answered.

you may be able to achieve something with the whisper action where the recipient has to accept the call.
otherwise you only sensible option would be to get the caller to leave a message & then use escalated out-dialing to deliver the msg to the OOH members.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I always miss the POT part in all posts =)
Might be that in all the time working with PBXs I've only encountered one customer with POTS.

Not what I wanted to hear but its what I expected. I checked my other client with similar settings and they are using SIP trunks.

Thank you

I wanted to add one more bit, I played around with the Whisper action and that works. I have to give a star for that one.

Thank you again

did you use cascaded whisper actions (same order as sequential HG)?

Yes, which happened to add the benefits of being able to change individual timers.
