Hey,

Having an issue with a recently upgraded Linux One-X Portal. It's gone from R7 to R8. Everything else works fine but next to the users who are available for chat it's just showing a grey bubble with a question mark.

Checked everything else and all working except chat. Any ideas? Or shall I just ask them to uninstall the Application server and start from scratch?

Many Thanks,

You are not the first one.
If you can then uninstall 1XP and reinstall it.

Haha, Didn't think we would have been.

I'll get them to reinstall and update.

As long as you do not have set a lot of one x mobile users then it is done in minutes.

I'm having the same issue (see my post earlier today). When you say uninstall/reinstall, do you mean within the Application Server control panel (port 7070) or the application server as a whole? If the latter, how do I backup/preserve voicemail messages/call recordings?

You can just uninstall from the webcontrol (port 7070)
Then when that is done then click on install and it will be installed default.
Then you browse to the admin page and configure it again.

Glad that it works now.
It must have been the update that broke something.

Great, will try the same tonight, but if it works for OP then I'm hoping...

With One X portal the "reinstall to fix" is like the good old system/IT "reboot to fix" thing, just takes a little longer but usually works :)

Or dump one-X as a chat client and use download Spark from the IgniteRealtime.org web site and use that IM client to IM via your one-X Portal Server.
