Im making the jump from 5.0.14 to 8.0, I have 240 IP phones on this system. I was told that its just a site upgrade license, however, last time I tried to go to 7.0 I was send back down due to Enpoint Licensing issues.

MY question is if I still need to get those, I was told no, but I don't believe anything I hear anymore. I was told all I needed was the license that was an upgrade to 8.0 with more than 20 users.

Anyone can confirm this is all I need?

You must have an IP500v1 or v2
All IP phones (dect too) need IP endpoint licenses!!!
So you need 240 minus the 12 vitual endpoint lienses per VCM (VCM 32 and 64) card in the system.
IF you have a legacy card carrier with a VCM 30 on it then you will have 90 virtual IP endpoint licenses.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yeah, I feared this, so that $199 upgrade basically does us no good, unless we get the $2000 upgrade to go with it....crapola!

Hell, have a star, I knew the answer, but your getting star for crushing my dreams that we didnt :/

Sorry for crushing your dreams :)
Better save then sorry in this case.

Hi
if you have VCM channel licenses yon the system on the old system you will get 3 virtual av endpoint licenses per channel license

so if you have a VCM 64 with 64 channel licenses you will get 192 virtual licenses

Yeah, I know all the conversions and so on, it all makes sense to me....however, the documentation isnt very clear. At all!
