So to be clear and for others as well who may have run into this.
When using the Voicmail Pro server (with Manager installed) as the download source for the digital phones (because you have an ip500 with no memory capability)
Phone File Server Type is set to Custom and the TFTP address is set to the ip of the voicemial server with Manager installed correct?

Yes that is right.
When it is set to manager then it uses the file writer IP address on the bottom of the system settings.
