Yes, way to expensive just like CM.
Only for the server you can buy two full featured IP 500s.
And there aren't a lot of customers with more as 300 stations so the target market is small and there are very good competetors in this market.
I'll stick to IPO500 R7 as it does what it should do for a fair price.
Does anyone know if an sso login will be needed in the future?
I used to send the link of the support site when a customer asked for a certain version of the manager.
Guess we'll be sending DVDs now for them to loose.
Support on 7 is ended indeed BUT! if you have a proven bug it will be fixed in 8.1 or higher then they MUST provide a upgrade license for free so I will stick to 7 as long as possible if it fits the customers needs.
IP Office Core Switch 8.1(43)
IP Office Preferred Edition 8.1(0810)
Customer Call Reporter 8.1.8.16
One-X Portal 8.1.76(80)
IP Office Application Server 8.1.16(12)
Unified Communication Processor 8.1.80.9
You can also get DVD from your Avaya BP!
700503230 IPO 8.1 USER/ADMIN SET DVD
270399 IPO LICENCE UPG R8.1 LARGE
Do Yourself a favor, get large licence. It's not much more than small licence, and it will save yourself heaches in the future.
Also, you must be running version 7.0/8.0 to upgrade directly to 8.1
Irigant your right, end of Support for IP Office Release 7!
Tech bulitin #145 confirms this!
"With the GA of IP Office R8.1 Avaya will provide support for both IP Office R8.1 and IP Office R8.0.
IP Office R7.0 will no longer be supported."
I am going to miss R7
More bad news, with 8.1, and next maintance release of R8.0 using new VCM32v2 & VCM64v2 Cards You will NOT get the 12 IP endpoint licenses anymore! Even on server edition!
The Older 32/64 VCMs will work as-is and will include 12 IP endpoint licenses, execept Server Edition; 12 IP endpoint licenses will be included locally on the IP500v2
expansion systems.
Just installed 8.1 on IP500 which had 8.0 (42)
None of my 9508 phones are coming up at all.
Not an issue prior to upgrade. All other phone types including older 5410 and 5420 are working great.
