Hey guys... so we have a customer using an IP500v2 on R8.0 with embedded voicemail. We changed a bunch of the extensions names, and now all the voicemails & greetings on those extensions are gone. I read in another forum that this is by design on release 8.0 and earlier- but my question is now this... If we change the extension name back to what we were previously using would the voicemails & greetings come back? Or did it completely wipe the old mailbox when I changed the name on the extension?

Thanks

The voicemail will still exist with the ORIGINAL NAME.

If you change the name of a user it’s like setting up a new user.
The ipo will create a voicemail for that new name.
As designed.

Please note this will be the same for a Hunt Group Mailbox
If you change the name it will create a new mailbox
So if you have professional recordings they will not play....

Thanks snowman.... is it possible to transfer the voicemails from one mailbox to another via the embedded file management, like one could w vmpro?
