Hi all, just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet...as we haven't and it's due rather soon :)

Andy, do you have Auto Create Extn enabled? I have logged it in with 3 different extensions so far, including my deskphone one. however I noticed that when I log back into my deskphone it doesn't immediately log off the Softphone.

Also, does anyone know how to stop Win 7 from powering down the LAN card? It's not in the power options and I'm not putting any Dell bloatware on here...

It is hidden in the power options under "more advanced options" or something like that :)

Thanks guys, that's exactly where I just looked... nada.

Looks like when the screen dims/switches off it shuts the LAN down also. Annoying....

Go to advanced power settings and see if there is an option for it.

For ALL SIP SoftPhone users:

To create a SIP SoftPhone user you need only this:
- In System | System you have to enabled HTTP SIP SoftPhone Provisioning;
- Create a user with Name_A and extension_A; Select from Profile: Telecomuter or Power User; Put a login code.

Now:
- When you login, your IP Office will create a temporary extension (It will look for the highest number (extension) and create one extension with number "<highest number>+1";
- If you logout and do not login back in 3 minutes then the temporary SIP Extension will auto-delete.
(PS: You cannot edit/delete or copy the SIP SoftPhone Extension)

Others:
- If you login/hotdesk the user to another extension, the SIP Softphone will not immediately logoff. It will logoff after the register expires (after the re-register message will be sent);
- You can take a normal user and apply a Power User Profile (or telecomuter) and login the user with SIP SoftPhone. In this moment the User logged in on your DS (or IP) phone will logout! If you logout from your SIP SoftPhone then your DS (or IP) phone will login back!

If you have any other SIP SoftPhone questions I will be delighted to help you! :)

Best Regards,
P.

Softphone installation problems.

I guess I am expiring the same problems as Peter. The Setup screen appears and that’s it.

I installed the files Paul mentioned, tried automated and manually as well, no results.

I've tried 2 different pc's, same result (both XP).

Martin13, the rest of the components from AdminCD were installed successful? And the only problem is the Softphone?

Hmmm, that is really strange!
PS: Are you a normal user or an Administrator on the PC? Do you have an anti-virus running while you make the install?

Try to login as an Administrator (Logoff the user and press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice), shutdown the anti-virus and then try again...
