Getting random reboots and I cant seem to pin down why.

I have several traces with the reboots in them If any one has the time to take a look at the logs here is the zip file download link: any help would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is we could have gone to R5 but some of the features of R6 (new exchange server integration) was appealing. Then cost of the new license was relatively small - so we opted for the latest and 'greatest'.

The maintenance patch will be out soon enough, they added a new 500V2 Cabinet too there growing SCN, they were running a stable 4.2.X release so we needed to at least move to 5 something, we let them decide whether to move to 5 or 6 we went with 6 knowing full well we may need to drop back down because this is the first GA release. I typically don't like to use the first GA of any release but we have had no issue's with it until this job.

I see, unfortunatley charged upgrades was just an excuse to make Avaya more money, rather than a means to provide a more reliable and better value product :)

You do however have a good point djuplift, the first major release is never the best, but what is the paid upgrade for if not a better service?

Looks like Avaya just released 6.0.088433 to resolve the random reboot (Call Park) defect at R6. Do you guys have a copy of this?

It is not on the support site so it must be a private build.
If you need it then you need to contact support.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Avaya wants me to purchase a block of time before talking to me. They say they won't deduct time from me if it’s a defect, which clearly it is. It's just wrong that Avaya won't make this load publically available to correct their own defect.... It's a money grab. But thanks for the response.

That is the way it works.
You need to buy the support hours or they will not even look at it.

They do not put PB's on the support site because it can do more harm then good in some situations.
That is why you have to go true support.

Probably it will be implemented in the next or Q3 maintenace release.

I guess that makes sense. I work for an avaya business partner and my owner is trying to avoid spending the money. Business has been slow... Do you think this bug will effect customers on 500 v2 processors, running R.6? Thanks again for the response.

Could be but i don't know.
