Does anyone know when the out of office agent begins autoreplying to messages? Is it when the person clicks Enable, or does it wait until the dates specified in the Leaving on date?
By default, the Agent runs at 01:00am the day after the person has 'left'. You can obviously change this by amending the Agent. If the users is having problems with it then it is always worth checking this anyway as sometimes 'our' users set it to run locally as opposed to on the server. Lamaar75@hotmail.com
You can change this to run hourly, but be warned, you'll get the 'Welcome Back' message hourly, too.
If you want to change it, I suggest you change the template and not the database. If you change the template, it will go back to running daily as soon as the database designer task runs at 2:00 am.

Keep in mind that you need to change every individual's agent through the server, which is a royal pain. I have mine set to reply when new mail is received, my users didn't like delay in a response. It is working well.
I've set it to run hourly, seems to work fine, except I've not received any 'Welcome Back' message. Is there any hidden option in Notes enabling this message to be generated ? Or is this designed by template ?
is there a way to globally change the agent to run on reciept of new mail, or will i have to change each client individually? Like kimber45, my users do not like the delay, but i dont much fancy applying the change to 50 odd machines.
