Hi everybody;

I have problem at usb connections of my S8300(I tested my DVD-Writer at other systems it is working).How can I reintsall the SW in it without CDrom.I can telnet from the service port but I dont know the login annd password for it.I tried craft/craft01 but I couldnt.

Also is there a default dadmin password for it.

Please help.Regards;
 
if you don't know the password then I think you are forced to either pay for Avaya to reset it or the best choice is to reload the app SW. have you tried using the shutdown button and then reseating the server board? that may get your USB working. if not then you may need a new S8300 board to install the SW on. I find it is 99 percent the app SW that is hosed up and once you hook up the CD rom drive and reboot it will read the drive and start the install.
 
Thanks for your reply.Yes I did whatever you said but it doesnt matter.I know that I can reload it from TFTP or HTTP server but firstly I will have to login from telnet.From there With some command I can reload it from ftp or http at my mind.I need this kind of informations.But I am not sure of courese.Changing the 8300 will be expensive solution you know so I need some other ideas.

 
Do you have a modem connected?
Try modem connection with PPP login, then ssh or telnet to linux and used dadmin.
