R12 upgrade and v11.5 client license issue

We just upgraded to R12 from v11.5SP4 and none of our windows servers are being backed up if the the agent is not also upgrade to r12. The readme doc does say the older client agents are supported.

The error is license related which does not make sense since all licenses were published on the backup server as well as making sure the client agent license is on the client OS as well.

Did anyone else come across this issue? I do not want to upgrade all my clients just yet, incase I need to revert to server v11.5
 
Go back to 11.5 or get rid of R12. I regret upgrading and I'm now regretting buying Arcserve in the first place!

Nothing but problems every time I upgrade and CA support is next to useless. nearly 2 months with an outstanding case and they still can't solve it.

This is the last product I will ever buy from CA

Well, before installing you should check and/or call support ( just to be sure).

I tried to backed up some R11.X with the last sp it works.
and it didn't works with server on which no SP have been installed....

Regarding arcsreve V12 and the support, let me tell you that i had a good experience with them.

We had several issue on our configuration
-W2k8 x64 enterprise
-exchange 2007 SP1
And all of this is clustered.Even our arcserve member server is clustered...

Evrything was not working perfectly but we fix all the issue .
Our solution was not supported, but i did have their help and support.

So thx to CA !!
