Anyone do this yet. I am running into issue where the UCM is not taking my input. I ignited the UCM but it did not take the IP addressing. Then I got into it with an address 192.168.42.200 which I did not set but was the default that was showing before I changed it on ignition. Now I can't log into it with the passwords I set during ignition. Just wondering if the V1 does not play well with R11.1.

Have been able to ignite but now I cannot log into the ucm web management to enable the client, I get ip office is currently unavailable.

3 rules when working with IP Office

1. don't install a new firmware release that is not out for at least 6 months so that big problems have become public knowledge
2. don't use UCM's - ever, and beat up the sales people that sell them
3. have lots of alcohol at hand when you don't follow rules 1 and 2

Sorry man, hope this brings a smile to your face because I think you will have to re-install.
I would install 11.0.4.3 or 11.0.4.4 then upgrade to 11.1 as there is also an issue when igniting the 11.1.1 that it will not let you in and you have to start all over.

I think this is not a particular problem with UCMV1 but with the shaby testing they do for UCM firmware as they have gotten just very rare.

@Westi
#1 was not my call
#2 is a must, I have to start the beat downs shortly
#3 Is harder as I don't drink but crawling into a fetal position is a possibility till the weekend.
I did do a re-image but the UCM will not allow me to log into the webpage to allow the client. I have been able to ignite it but the webpage to manage or turn on client will not populate, so no changes can be made. I also see that the SSA show the UCM using all the memory pegged at 100%.

Thanks for the humor!!

Haha, teletechman
If you need assistance with the beat downs let me know and I hop over and help you.

There is a problem with the ignition on the latest 11.1

it might also be that the ignition works and after that the UCM does whatever it wants.

I got it ignited but the web management page never populates, tried 2 different browsers also. I can log inot the :7071 and get all screens there and get the logs, system settings etc.. but not the web management page.

Update: I upgraded the UCM to R11.1 SP1 and now it is working as it should. When a GA release the memory was pegged at 100% and I could not access anything almost.
Now at SP1 the memory is at 30% and I can ignite it and get to the web management page to turn on the VM client. I then checked with the client and see all the call flows and wav files. I can make changes to the UCM and all seems to work as it should.
Hopefully this will help someone else!
On a side note I hate the UCMs!!!
Mike

teletechman, I love that it works.
Could be that they fixes some stuff on the image after they discovered it is broken and can't be ignited.

I guess if all UCM haters come together we have a big quorum with all the Avaya techs.:)

Funny that Avaya doesn't mention any fixes for the UCM on the SP release?
Mike

they broke stuff on it. Apparently igniting is not working, at least sometimes.

I also think that they don't really give a of time to UCM's or IP500's any more.
They want all people to go cloud (ACO) then once all customers are there they will probably get rid of a lot of BP's but could be my paranoia coming through.
