Hello All,
I have a simple question I hope. I want incoming calls to ring the front desk then after 3 rings start ringing other phones and after 3 more rings answer by AA.
I have built 3 Hunt groups. H1 has one user in it. H2 has 6 users in it. H3 has one user in it and that user is the trigger to AA. I setup H1 to overflow to H2 (as a delay ring feature)and that works fine. I then setup H2 to overflow to H3 if I call H2 direct(by calling the Hunt group number) the call flows to H3 and reaches AA. If I call H3 direct it goes to AA. But if I dial the H1 it goes to H2 but instead of me getting H3/AA I get the Main voicemail box.
I must have changed the the wrong timer to allow the call to reach the third hunt group.
Which timer should I be looking to change to allow the call to reach AA after the 6th ring?
Thanks for your response.

Set up the HG3 group to be in the overflow of HG1. So both HG2 and HG3 are in the overflow of HG1. Then make sure that the overflow timers is shorter than the VM timer.

Thanks I'll try that Mike

Huntgroups overflow is always taken from the original group. So as explained here you need both HG2 and HG3 in the overflow for HG1, anything you put in HG2's overflow will not be hit unless you call HG2 directly as you found out.

From manager help:
"Overflow can be used to expand the list of group members who can be used to answer a call. This is done by defining an overflow group or groups. The call is still targeted to the original group and subject to that group's settings, but is now presented to available members in the overflow groups in addition to its own available members.

Overflow calls still use the settings of the original target group. The only settings of the overflow group that is used is it's Ring Mode."

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
