Hi guys,

I am trying to install Voicemail Pro 10.1 on a virtual Windows 2012 R2 server.

Installing as an Administrator, accept the license, Choose the Voicemail Pro (Full) component and Typical install, once I have put the account details of the PC in, I get an error 'Required IIS components are not installed on machine. Below VMPro components are dependent on IIS: Voicemail Pro Campaign Web Component, Web Voicemail. Press abort to install IIS.'

When i look on the server manager it shows IIS web server installed and running, asp.net 3.5 is running also.

Any ideas what it could be?

Thank you in advance.

I would try installing as 'custom'. Doing it 'tyypical' for me has been iffy for the last few versions.

*(Disclaimer for all advise given)--'Version Dependent'

Just install as Compact, haven't been able to determine which IIS component is missing

Do you need Web Voicemail or Campaigns?

It might be enough to enable "Legacy IIS support" to get it working.

I had the same issue yesterday. 10.1 install, with typical option selected. Same error popped up, so i went for the re-install, did the custom option instead. had no issues with the installation, Everything installed correctly with no errors.

Thank you very much for the responses guys.

I went for the custom install and it all worked fine.

TouchToneTommy I will have a look at this a try it on my next one also.

Hello guys
Did you figured out what components are those missing ones in IIS?
I'm about to install VMPro 10.1 and I'm failing to install it in my LAB with the same error.
The customer will use OneX portal with VMPro.
Does anyone know if we can go with the Custom/Compact install ? Will it work OK?

BTW: I tried to install the ASP as described by "TouchToneTommy" and it didn't helped.

regards
Jou

I would always advise installing an Application server rater than a windows VMP unless you are using features that are not supported on the Linux variant.

it simply works & is fare less trouble to install & maintain
required Linux knowledge - ZERO!
