We have a Definity G3csi Prologix V11, using call center and vectoring. We are utilizing the TnR (Transfer and Release) functionality from Qwest (who is our T1 provider) to transfer a call to an outside vendor's Qwest-provisioned toll-free number while carrying the ANI with the call. Qwest requires the * key tone for at least 650 ms to flag the call to be picked up by their network, then a short pause to get their confirmation tone back, then the dialed number string (outside vendor's toll-free #). Per Avaya programmers, the way to accomplish this is to record the tones in an announcement, which we did.

The vector is setup as follows:
1. Announcement 4340 (which asks the caller to hold while the call is being transferred).
2. Announcement 4339 (which xfers the call = *, pause, toll-free#)
3. Disconnect with announcement none.

The issue is that the caller hears the loud, sustained * tone and then silence for 8 - 10 seconds before the outside vendor's system picks up the call.

Does anyone have any other options to facilitate this?

In addition, does anyone know how to get DTMF-# recorded at the end of the announcement (right after the toll-free digits) listed in the second vector above?
