Quote character in TDBGrid and TMemo

I am upgrading an application from Delphi2005 to XE2. The nature of the application means the " character for inches occurs frequently in text. This has caused problems in the past where it was not displayed correctly but I always found a solution. In XE2 under Win7 I find it impossible to display correctly.

Any ideas? The text is normal strings, not Unicode.

from D2009 your normal strings have become unicode and also the components that use String.
So you'll need to convert your non-unicode text to unicode so it can be shown correctly in a TMemo.

Many thanks. The real problem is that the database components I used are not UniPrint ready. So a bigger upgrade than I thought ....
