We have installed Software Update Services in one of our servers. It runs on IIS. I want to browse the page in client PCs. It throws "Under Construction" page. Why is this?

Any help appreciated....

To my knowledge it's not possible to manually update your clients (except for typing in the exact urls you can find in the logfiles maybe), you have to configure it throught group policies.

cheers,

Doesn't that "Under construction" page come up if you don't have a default.htm (or default.asp) page?

For example, if your update page is and you don't have a default.htm there, it will show the "under construction" page.

A simple fix, if that is the situation, is to have a redirec in default.htm pointing to the proper page.

Just my $.02

The SUS site is usually set up as a subfolder to "default web site"

you want to reach the site with
or ad a hostheader to the website and add this to the internal DNS.
